14 Septembre and bde Enter Strategic Partnership

To better serve their forward-thinking design clients, two established public relations firms form a global alliance

New York/Paris, January 18, 2018 — Two leading public relations and communications firms will join forces to provide their design-focused clientele representation on a global scale with localized attention to detail. Effective January 18, 2018, New York–based bde will enter into a strategic partnership with Paris-based 14 Septembre, which also has offices in Lyon, France; Milan, Italy; London, UK and collaborators in Japan and throughout Germany.

Through this partnership, titled “14 Septembre + bde”, the firms will refer new clients to each other and offer support to current clients in their respective locales, North America & Europe. Services between the two will comprise of events, social media, influencer campaigns, market research, brand development, think tanks, and all that encompasses public relations in today’s marketing landscape. The partnership will not affect existing agreements between the firms and their clients. Individual country specific representation by each agency will continue to be offered.

Beth Dickstein, founder and CEO of bde, and Laurent Denize d'Estrées, founder and president of 14 Septembre, saw this opportunity as a natural next step for their companies; both agencies recently celebrated their 21st anniversaries and share a roster of complementary clients. 14 Septembre and bde chose to enter into this alliance—a first for both—based on mutual trust and reputation, as well as their shared passion for elevating brands in the design, architecture, and hospitality industries.

“We are so pleased and energized to form this strategic alliance with 14 Septembre as the next step in the story of bde,” Dickstein says. “Our global network has always been strong, and with 14 Septembre, we can strengthen this truly local and global foundation. Both companies have a shared reputation and strength in the marketplace. We are excited to have the opportunity to explore industries so well related to all things where design is the DNA. We agree that together we can better serve our current and future clients.”

“We’ve entered into this strategic partnership with bde to support our clients in their international expansions, forging strong bonds with cross-border influencers and specifiers, and broadening our networks and those of our partners in France, Europe, and around the world,” Denize d'Estrées says. “This partnership provides added impetus to our growth strategy, and its focus on the dynamic energy of high-potential markets in terms both of image and business allows us to better serve our clients.”
